Cover-up tattoos and redesigns in Geelong

Have an existing tattoo you would like to change? Discuss a cover-up or redesign with Ben Bickley at his private North Geelong studio. Geelong and Armstrong Creek clients are welcome. Start with a clear photograph and the parts of the tattoo you want to keep, change or cover.

Start with the existing work

A cover-up begins with an assessment, not a promise.

Ben needs to see the tattoo before confirming whether a cover-up, redesign or another approach could suit it. Send a clear, well-lit photograph showing the whole piece, plus a closer view if there are details you want him to assess. Include its placement and approximate size.

Explain what is no longer working for you. You might want a different subject, a change in style, better balance with nearby tattoos, or to retain elements that still matter. Being clear about those priorities gives Ben a useful starting point without committing you to a finished design.

Colour and black-and-grey directions

Bring the idea, even if it is still a rough one.

You can discuss colour realism, black-and-grey work and the subjects you are drawn to. Share examples to explain the direction you like, along with anything you definitely do not want. Ben will assess how an idea relates to the existing tattoo before confirming a suitable design.

A photograph, sketch or AI concept can help describe a preference. It is a conversation aid, rather than evidence that a particular image will work as a cover-up. Final design, placement, suitability and tattoo duration need Ben’s assessment.

Private enquiries and consultations

Send the photographs privately, then talk through the next step.

Use the enquiry form to send your idea and reference photographs to the studio. Customer enquiry photographs stay private and are not added to the public portfolio. Include a contact email so Ben or Lina can follow up with you.

Lina can help arrange a 30-minute consultation using the studio calendar. Consultations do not require a deposit. Submitting an enquiry or discussing an idea does not confirm a tattoo appointment. Tattoo sessions require Ben’s approval and a confirmed duration.

Planning the work

A clear scope before a quote or tattoo booking.

The studio’s baseline rates are $200 an hour, $1,000 for a full day with black ink, or $1,100 for a full day with colour. Those figures do not establish how long an individual cover-up will take or what its final price will be. Ben confirms the scope and quote after assessing the existing work.

The Art of Ben Bickley is at 20 - 22 Rodney Road, North Geelong, VIC 3215, Australia. The studio serves Geelong and Armstrong Creek clients, with visits by appointment. Start the conversation before visiting so the studio can help you plan the appropriate next step.
